Another new book for O-Books

Just received the contract for another new title for O-Books. This time it's The Dictionary of Magic & Mystery - a doorstep of a book with over 3000 entries and lots of mini-features. This started off as a personal reference and just grew but it shows that no matter how much you think you know, you actually know nothing in the greater scheme of things. This should be available sometime in 2011 but it's rather an exciting project as most esoteric dictionairies tend to be flimsy things and I want this to be the best! Watch this space.

Good news is that we have managed to 're-acquire' the original .com address for TOK, which was lost due to the total mismanagement of the original website. We'd heard that an American organisation had bought the web address but recently found that it was available once more. It's now re-registered to TOK and as soon as we can produce a new website, TOK will be back on the web again ... but this time we will be in control. It was sad to lose the old site as a lot of work (and money) had gone into its creation, but we must look forward and not back ... the new site will run in conjuction with the MD blog for content and updates.

Book News

All the proofs and the front cover for Mean Streets Witchcraft have been seen and approved, so hopefully it won't be too long before O-Books start the advance publicity. I was delighted with the design of the front cover and couldn't have chosen better myself for dramatic effect. It was a book I thoroughly enjoyed working on and I look forward to receiving the author copies from my new publisher.

Sea Change: Practical Craft Magic for the sea-witch

Sea Change: Practical Craft Magic for the sea-witch has just been accepted by O-Books for publication in 2011. Have been beavering away to extend the text from being aimed solely at the British market to encompassing the American market as well. Unfortunately, there's a 15 month wait from acceptance to book publication but in the meantime I will be working on something new.

Mean Streets Witchcraft

Have been notified that this title should be available for Hallowe'en 2010 through O-Books. It's a big step to change publishers but it will be interesting to see how the different processes work, especially as all contact with 0-Books is 'on-line only'.

My first book, Liber Ægyptius: The Egyptian Book of Magic was first published in 1998 by ignotus press, to act as a primer for Temple of Khem students, and to make the ancient Egyptian religion accessible to modern readers. Being a member of the Egypt Exploration Society was an enormous help in researching the material for the book, and also in keeping up to date with current archaeological findings that had relevance for ToK teaching. The book was reprinted in 2003 and, I’m glad to say, has remained a popular selling title ever since.

It made more sense than the other books I had been reading and gave me the opportunity to understand Egyptian texts and information that had been ‘Greek’.
