Winter Solstice update

With the Winter Solstice just around the corner, all the books have been completed and are now in various stages of production ready for release in the New Year. There have been a few in-house changes and the titles will now appear under the different imprints of John Hunt Publishing (formerly O-Books). The Traditional Witchcraft series and the Dictionary of Magic & Mystery will come under the Moon Books imprint and Magic Crystals, Sacred Stones under the Axis Mundi imprint - all available from

More books in the pipeline, however, and I'm working away on The Atum-Re Revival: Ancient Egyptian Wisdom for the Modern World. It's good to get back into the Egyptian Mystery Tradition routine again as this is currently out of fashion with today's magical seekers, all of whom seem to be fascinated by traditional witchcraft methods at the moment - hence the increase in demand for our Arcanum course. Magic, like everything else I suppose, has its fashions!

Publishing up-date

The titles in the Traditional Witchcraft series have now been given a publication date. Traditional Witchcraft for Urban Living (January 2012); Traditional Witchcraft for the Seashore (February 2012); Traditional Witchcraft for Fields and Hedgerows and Traditional Witchcraft for Woods and Forests (March 2012). The Dictionary of Magic and Mystery is scheduled for April 2012. A new title, Magic Crystals and Sacred Stones, is nearing completion and hopefully, this will appear towards the end of 2012.

All the books will be available from in paperback and as e-books, and reflect the kind of teaching contained in the Arcanum course for those interested in learning more about the beliefs of traditional British Old Craft.

New publishing contracts

There are now four titles in the new O-Books series: Traditional Witchcraft for Fields and Hedgerows; Traditional Witchcraft for Woods and Forests: SeaChange will be released as Traditional Witchcraft for the Seashore and Means Streets Witchcraft will be repackaged as Traditional Witchcraft for Urban Living. The contracts are signed and all typescripts are with the publisher, so hopefully the whole series will be available both as paperbacks and e-books by the end of the year. And there are more in the pipeline!

Catch Up Time ...

A long delay since the last post but losts of things have been happening. Firstly, Mean Streets Witchcraft was launched at the end of 2010 and an excellent book it is, too. Copies can be ordered direct from O-Books ( or from Amazon. An author is always a bit nervous about a book coming out with a new publisher, but O-Books have exceeded all expectations ...

I also have just agreed to do a regular 'letters' page for Marian Pearce's Pentacle magazine. This will be more in-depth than the usual 'what colour candle do I use ...' Pentacle is the UK's leading independent pagan magazine and Marian is an old chum from way back. It will be good to be working with her again.

The final proof for Sea Change has just been received and I'm looking forward to seeing it in print later this year.
